Common Myths about Coworking Spaces

If you have a remote or hybrid job and are unable to work at home, a coworking space may be the perfect solution. Since coworking spaces are a fairly new concept, we thought we’d bust some common myths about working in these types of environments:

  • Myth 1: Coworking spaces are only for tech companies or startups. These spaces are great for a wide variety of desk jobs! Some examples include accounting, marketing, virtual receptionist, data entry, and bookkeeping.
  • Myth 2: Only long rows of desks are available to use. The DMG Dream Center has an open area with large windows that holds two desks, a high top with chairs, a couch, and a conference table. If you need more privacy we also offer private offices based on availability.
  • Myth 3: It is always loud and distracting in the shared area. In order to prevent this, there is a limit to the number of people who can use the space at a given time. Also, the use of the conference table for meetings is only able to be scheduled if no one else is in the coworking area. What is nice though is that when another person is working in the building you can feel a bit more connected and have the chance to network if you choose.
  • Myth 4: You have to be locked into a contract like a normal office space. On the contrary! A huge benefit to coworking spaces is the flexibility. If you are looking to work regularly outside the house a few days a week, you can book a time based on that. Or, if you are having renovations done or family visiting, you can book a week or two at a time for some quiet time away. We are here when you need us!

Whatever your reasons for looking into working in a shared office, the DMG Dream Center has just what you are looking for. Contact us to schedule a tour of the space or explore our website to learn more about availability and pricing!
